Connections and Contradictions

How can images communicate complex meaning? Connections and Contradictions explores the construction of symbolic visual languages through abstraction and geometry.

The series draws from two main sources: architectural representation, which can communicate precise instructions and experience; and spaces of meaning: temples, churches, and mosques, where images and symbols carry cultural narratives.

Each painting is made spontaneously, without a predetermined composition. I approach the process like a conversation: when speaking, we rarely plan every sentence, but instinctively choose from countless possibilities in the moment.

As the painting develops, I interpret the relationships between its forms and gradually assign them fluid meanings. The symbols acquire significance during and after the act of painting, making the work both the construction and discovery of its own visual language.
